Pop singer Ariana Grande is tied to the Final Fantasy and Fornite franchises, as she’s actually a playable character in both.
Pop singer Ariana Grande has a strange connection both with the Final fantasy and Fortnite video game franchises. The incredible popularity of Fortnite has led to becoming a hub for crossovers, as companies want their characters and franchises exposed to a large audience of gamers, but there’s also a Final fantasy crossover with a celebrity many fans don’t know, one the two franchises share.
Celebrities appearing in video games are nothing new, especially in an age when it’s easy to allow an artist’s appearance while still being able to scan their face to use it for 3D models and make it look record his own vocal lines, as was the case with Keanu Reeves. in Cyberpunk 2077. Fortnite featured characters from DC, Marvel, John Wick, Star Wars, Ghostbusters, The Walking Dead, GI Joe, Street Fighter, Predator, Alien, and Grave robber. The game even brought together characters from Microsoft and Sony, with Kratos and Master Chief both appearing as Fortnite skins, which is something that even Super Smash Bros. Ultimate could not do.
Fortnite also featured a number of skins based on real people, mostly athletes, and YouTubers. Ariana Grande is now part of Fortenite as a skin, which means players can unlock her appearance and play with her in-game. Yet while this was likely the first exposure of many gamers to Ariana Grande as a playable video game character, she was part of one of the biggest franchises in JRPG history several years before ending up in Fortnite.
The playable Ariana Grande
In 2017, Ariana Grande was added to Final Fantasy Brave Exvius as a playable character named Dangerous Ariana. She has since appeared as a guest character on several occasions, in the form of Charming Kitty Ariana, Chic Ariana and Sportive Ariana. This means that Ariana Grande has been a playable character in both series, in several forms, although she’s not technically the only one to have accomplished it, as Lara Croft has also appeared as a summonable unit in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and like a skin in Fortnite as well as. The Ariana Grande skin was added as part of a crossover appearance, as she hosted several in-game gigs within Fortnite.
Ariana Grande isn’t even the only playable pop star in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, as Katy Perry was added to the game in 2018, joining the ranks of the playable Final fantasy hero. It seems that characters like Cloud Strife, Terra Branford, Zidane Tribal, Tidus and Ramza Beoulve rub shoulders with some of the most popular pop stars in the world, and perhaps the most interesting, it also means that the two Ariana Grande and Katy Perry even theoretically have the right to appear in the future Dissidia Games.
