Fivio Foreign claims he got $5,000 advance from Mase deal

Fivio Foreign says he only received a four-figure advance from his deal with Ma$e’s RichFish label.

Sunday July 24, Fivio was the last guest of Gillie Da Kid and Wallo267 A million dollar game podcast. The Brooklyn rapper has opened up about coming to the rap game, including his affair with Ma$e, who signed him to a record deal in 2019.

Fivio said Ma$e showed interest after releasing the song. “Blixky Inna Box” with Jay Dee and Dee Savv, and told Fivio he wanted to sign all three rappers on the track in order to do one deal.

“I’m not going to lie, [Ma$e] took the paper out and I just signed the shit, immediately,” Fivio said around 9:35 p.m. of the interview.

“The nigga that brought me to him, he was like, ‘Yo, man. Just sign that shit, you buggin’.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, read it.’ He’s like, ‘Okay, just sign it. It’s okay.’ So, I just signed it,” Fivio explained. “The advance was $5,000.”

“That’s all he gave me,” Fivio added. “I signed for $5,000. That shit hit. I thought that shit was gonna last until it lasted. That shit ain’t gonna last two weeks.”

Fivio has confirmed that he is still under contract as of today. His new album BIBLE was released under RichFish/Columbia.

“Ma$e knows the business. He really knows the business a lot. I didn’t know anything,” Fivio added. “He pretended to try to explain it to me. ‘You have to keep this. I can keep 30% of this.’ I was like that, whatever.”

While Wallo267 was surprised by the revelation, especially since Ma$e has consistently claimed he was abused by Diddy in his Bad Boy contract, the former XXL Freshman doesn’t seem to have let the situation get away from him.

“I don’t cry over spilled milk,” he continued. “I’m in a better place now. He gets what he gets… But I control my money.”

XXL contacted Ma$e for comment.

Fivio Foreign released their first album BIBLE back in April. The LP featured guest appearances from Kanye West, A$AP Rocky, Quavo, Coi Leray, Lil Tjay and more.
