Top NBA DFS picks for Sunday, May 15
Antetokounmpo leads McClure’s NBA DFS picks again on Sunday and is listed at $12,000 on DraftKings and FanDuel. In Milwaukee’s series against Boston, Antetokounmpo averaged 35.3 points, 13.8 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.3 blocks. Antetokounmpo has only played in a Game 7 twice in his career, but in those games he averaged 31 points with 11 rebounds and five assists.
What’s encouraging for those who relied on Antetokounmpo during the playoffs is that his numbers are way above those he recorded against the Celtics during the regular season. In those three starts, he averaged 28.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists. NBA DFS players are also hoping Antetokounmpo can continue his 3-point shot, as he’s made four of eight shots from beyond the arc in his last two games.
Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes lining up Suns point guard Chris Paul ($7,700 on DraftKings and $7,900 on FanDuel). After two indescribable performances in Games 4 and 5, Paul seemed to start picking things up again in Game 6, finishing with 13 points, four assists and two steals. Throughout his career, Paul has been reliable in Game 7 scenarios and has averaged 20.6 points, 9.9 assists, and 5.9 rebounds in such games.
In home playoff games this season, Paul has come close to those marks and averaged 20.5 points, 9.3 assists and 4.5 rebounds. Although Paul’s numbers are down in the series compared to how he’s played against Dallas this season, there’s reason for optimism in Game 7. During the regular season, Paul collected in averaged 13 assists per game against the Mavs, and in Game 5 he picked out 10 assists to make up for only scoring seven points, albeit in a 30-point win.
