Sola headquarters becomes the largest franchisee in the system with 59 company-owned sites and one in development

March 16, 2022 // // DENVER, Colorado – Sola Salons today announced that it has successfully purchased 10 Sola locations in Virginia and 10 Sola locations in Baltimore, Maryland and the Greater Washington D.C. metro area from former Sola franchise owners. The units will now be integrated into Sola’s corporate headquarters portfolio of 59 company-owned sites, including one under development, which includes metro Denver, Orange County, Sacramento, Virginia and Maryland.

The 10 Virginia locations were previously developed and operated by a longtime franchise group led by Jim Debolt, Jeff DeBolt and Long Ngo. This group of early franchise owners has dedicated the past 10 years to growing Sola’s presence in the Virginia market. The 10 units across Baltimore, Maryland and the Greater Washington D.C. metro area were purchased from owners and operators Jim and Roxy McEvoy, who have been Sola brand leaders since joining the system eight years ago. The 20 new locations acquired by the company will be managed by the business unit operations team under the leadership of Jeremy Tebo, vice president of corporate operations at Sola Salons.

“This significant transaction shows the strength and demand for our business at the unit level,” said Christina Russell, CEO of Sola Salons. “We have built a scalable team structure to prepare for this growth and we couldn’t be more excited to be among the biggest franchisees in the Sola system. We look forward to sharing the knowledge we’ve gained through to this experience.

Sola continues to show growth across North America through the opening of new salons, the signing of franchise agreements and business acquisitions.

“Through this acquisition, we have firmly established our presence in corporate operations on the East Coast,” said Jordan Levine, COO of Sola Salons. “We now have 59 locations open.”
